Stayed for back-to-back yoga classes—I feel like I had myself in a sanity deprivation chamber.  This self-portrait project is stagnating like my complaint from earlier in the year—finding myself back in these type of shots. Meant for the new kick-off from my birthday to take me back to the city adventures & documenting what I do each day.  What Would Traveling Tillie Do? www.travelingtilliephotography.univer.se Happy that I found myself having fun making the JillWrites Universe on Univer.se Social Media Art project, but I still would like to return to the Traveling Tillie type that I wax when I started the JillWrites blog originally.

Remember this from May 2007?: How about if I now can knot two of these together? …began by putting one on this way (to see if I can use the neck opening as an armhole—(and yea the  turtleneck is actually a sleeve)—

This is the darkest my hair color has ever been (due to a highlights mishap that I precipitated upon myself—and so I went to a stylist to have it rectified).  I’m getting used to it—and now I can try some different color palettes in my self-portraits.  I have light brown eyes, and usually keep my hair sandy brown with highlights—so, my eyes and hair usually color-match. With this combo, I can utilize a dramatic contrast between the eyes and hair. My eyes have never been this much lighter than my hair—fun! Colors!

Good process-oriented day. Still not sure which arrangement of websites is going to work for this, but 🙎‍♀️🤷‍♀️ there’s just so much design fiddling, page-juggling, & brand-redesigning I can tolerate in one afternoon, and then 🤦‍♀️ 💆‍♀️ also got in some creative fun with the jillwrites universe on univer.se universe and some fiction / web-based fiction a-ha’s this is turning into a metatext but. one of the goals/processes  of this relaunch is getting the relaunch happening, so. in today’s episode of phone-it-in daily self-portraiture: sometimes getting tired of graphic design in a long day, a portrait artist says ‘enough’. ok, fine. one more entry into the jillwrites universe on univer.se set on my Behance:

Alright: so, my old blogging persona was on its way back; I’ve now got art therapy in session; and the web presence overhaul is taking place. Looks like it’s all really happening, you guys. And now, a return to: started as a quick self-portrait, turned into album art.

Started the day in The First Light Bulb blog again early this morning.  Then a few hours later, I found myself at Wendy’s, where their computerized ordering kiosks seem to want to sing The Clash.   Took a few iPhone shots, and in the iPhone photo album, the series of nearly-identical thumbnails reminded me of Andy Warhol’s Campbell’s soup cans—so I thought I’d try a Pop Art configuration in a few apps. Haven’t quite come up with a design I love for it yet, but.  The in-progress work reminded me of something Trixie Clusterfuck (one of my fictional characters) would use.  Yes, Trixie Clusterfck is a real fiction story I wrote that I’ve been adapting for the stage ok, more later (Also going to revisit some Italo Calvino.) *****  Floor configuration time.
