Today shall be my new birthday.

Well, my second birthday.

(Because I really like my day of actual birth, it being exactly in the middle of the awesomeness that is October.)

There is silence in my brain.

I've never heard silence before.

That is all.

For now.

  • OK then. Happy second birthday. Perhaps this time you'll let me send you the thing I was gonna send you in October...?

    And silence is good.
    Sometimes.
Occasionally necessary, like the wildfire that seems to wipe things out, but actually nurtures the soil and prepares for new growth.

  • And by the way:
Has anyone ever eally heard "silence"...?

[insert "tree falling in the forest" argument here]

    :)

  • Jilly,

Hi. Been waiting, Lurking, Stalking, Whatever. This has no context other than the last 2 months, so here is my comment.

Feels good doesn't it - you can breathe here, stretch out and be free a little. There are some things you should know though. Here is a list of the local restaraunts that are good, and those that deliver. Fruits and vegetables are best from the produce stand down the street and it's worth the extra couple of bucks too. Garbage runs on Wednesdays at 5:00 am. . . . sharp. . . . make sure to have your can out by the street or you will be skipped. It's all in the folder, I know it's too much right off the bat. Especially when you're waiting on the movers.

I'll stop by this weekend to cut your grass for you and trim the shrubs. . . . no, no. . . . it's not a problem. You focus on getting settled in and into your groove, don't worry about that stuff. It's just cosmetic anyway, it doesn't have any meaning except to the Jones' down the street. They are a little snobby anyway, so who cares what they think. Oh, and you are coming over next Friday for dinner, bring someone if you want, the wife is making pot roast with all the fixins' and carrot cake for dessert. Anyway, I gotta get to work. It's good to have you in the neigborhood finally. Yes, I never thought a suburb would be my thing either, but y'know. When you're this secluded but not isolated, yet still this close to Sanity. . . . er. . . .the City. . . . it is an awesome place. I've been living here for years and have no intention of ever leaving. See you later babe!
