something a little bit different

storm - clouds - horizon - sky - eye - reflection

When I took this photo, I knew it wanted to be a poem, but the words weren't there yet. But I wanted to post the photo. So I did. I then decided to write and post simultaneously. And that evolved. There is now a poem-in-process made up of notes on the photo on my Flickr account, and I'd love it if you'd take a look.

If you're on Flickr, feel free to leave comments there. Or here. Either, both, whatever. I'd be interested to hear what you think about it, and it as a concept.

And here's Volume 2...

  • Loving the notes on the flickr page -- but honestly? It made me crave the hell out of summer.h

  • Some interesting thoughts on those notes, and I wasn't sure which order to read them, so that makes for an experience in and of itself, a different way for all of us :)

The photo itself echoes a little what I was thinking earlier about enjoying our pastimes (in my context baseball), but whatever allows you to drift off and enjoy the coming days.

  • You are so inspiring Jill.

Just love the way you come out with something new, bright and so so breathtaking.

Oh. And back home is great! I missed home, but I also miss the US. It's a quandary! I just wish I could fly back and forth easier (quicker and cheaper too).

Next I am in NY, we must catch up!

  • Sandra: Yes, I'm craving the hell out of summer myself.

Jedimerc: Yes, at some points the notes diverge and you have to follow each path separately. That's the way our minds work, I think. We come back to some ideas and then take a new direction with them. I find it intriguing to try to sort out the thought trains. :)

Mick: Thank you so much! And I also wish flights were shorter and cheaper. Then I could actually see my Aussie friends in person more often. And (CHICKYBABE!) meet the ones I haven't met yet! Alas. :(
