My day started as usual: morning routine, yoga class, eat, sit down at computer. That's when things get a bit hazy.
Next thing I know, I'm in bed again. Still in my yoga apparel. I can't sit up without the room spinning. My eyes don't want to be open. I pass out. I wake up to see that my lucky plant is as non-functional as I am. I fall back to sleep. Five hours later, I realize I am very, very hungry.
Someone get me some Reese's Pieces.

Network Geek: Thanks, actually I ordered in Chinese soup.
Cheryl, you're such a sweetie.
Brandon, I assure you that the plant is safe with me. I've had it for about 7 years. It starts getting testy after a few weeks of artificial heat in the house, but then after some TLC, it adapts. I'm a tree hugger as well; I rescued this plant. It was a centerpiece that was going to be tossed out. I brought it home and even got it this fancy schmancy engraved pot to call home.

Is that plant root bound?
I get that way. I need a bigger pot.

I love soup. I hope you feel better.
Your plant will be just fine. We have one of those at work -- it's like a tattletale plant that tells my boss that I forgot to water it by drooping drmatically and looking like it's going to die RIGHT THEN. It never does -- 4 years of drama and it's still aline. We refer to it derogatorily as "the plant that will not die."
Take care of yourself!

Sorry to hear you're feeling like dirt! Get some rest this weekend and take care of yourself. If I was there, I would bring you some magazines and chicken soup!

That's funny, the exact same thing happened to me yesterday (well, except for the yoga class, I'm just lazy) and I don't teach Thursdays either. I think the end of semester is killing everyone. Hope you feel better soon.

Ahhh...soup. Perhaps I will write an ode to soup soon.
Thanks for the cake offer, Steph, but I think I'll pass! ;)
Thanks to all of you for your well-wishing. I think if I limit my insanity for a few days, I'll be better. I promise to take care of the plant and post another picture when she is healthy. Please continue dreaming up new words for "toey"!

Get well soon. Oh yeah, and I thought of the best replacement word for "toey." How about "drunk?"

Funny, Portland. But men are so much less satisfying in that state. For the most part.

Are you sure it isn't a marijuana plant that is making you all dizzy? The hunger sensation and lazy feeling, sound like symptoms that your plant may not be the lovely decorative piece that you thought it once was and is in fact used for "medicinal purposes". Either that or the yoga may of cleared your head a little too much. :)
