There And Back Again

Yay! The play that I've been working on is finally starting to take on a life of its own. But that means at the moment I can't focus on writing any other stories. So now...

inspired in part by Romey's lustful meanderings and Timmortal's glimpse into boy's night out and all the ladies' appreciation of Ralph and adult Harry Potter characters...

I will share...

A List of Several Actors That I Have Huge Crushes On, Even Though Technically Other Actors Might Be More Aesthetically Perfect

You know, so I can give the boys some insight into how the female mind works...(and all the gals get an excuse to look at the pictures. Wait, do we need an excuse to look at pictures of yummy actors?)

You've already read how I feel about Ralph Fiennes, but I'll just use this as an excuse to post another picture of him. And despite the fact that we've spent some time pondering the intense blue of his eyes, I have to say that I do enjoy what a good black & white photograph can do for light eyes. Oh boy. If only this photograph could recite Shakespeare.

Callum Blue. He was Mason on Dead Like Me, a show I absolutely adored (and not just because he was in it.) Check out how freaked out I was when it got cancelled. And he's just damn adorable. I know the gentlemen out there are starting to think this is all hearts and flowers and teddy bears, but to be candid, that couldn't be further from the truth. Because while I certainly crush on men for their boyish charm (as opposed to just lusting after the gorgeous nanny-gigolo, Jude Law), nowhere do teddy bears figure into my fantasy world. Trust me. In fact, as long as this is becoming There and Back Again: A Journey Through the Archives of JillWrites, I suggest a stop by a very talked-about post (though all the comments got deleted in the migration from my previous blog host), "Bad" Boys. I'd love to hear what you think about that one! Really.

And speaking of "There and Back Again", let's travel to Middle Earth for this one. How hot is Viggo Mortensen?

Seriously, if he's the king, I'm okay with being a peasant slave.

Walking out of the theater at the end of one of the films, the boyfriend unit turned to me and said...

What, so does this mean I have to smear dirt all over myself and stop bathing to turn women on?

No, but it worked in the context of the movie, okay?

Boy, did it ever work.

And last but certainly not least...

Ewan McGregor.

This isn't my favorite photo of him (did you see the one with him licking his lips?) but I do enjoy the outfit. Gotta love a guy who can wear the leather jacket.

It's the overall package, gentlemen. Someday soon I will expand on that thought, as I have been doing quite a bit of research into the psychology (and biology) of human sexual attraction for the new play I am working on...

And speaking of which, now I must return to my own fictional characters, who I will perhaps allow to do a guest-blog sometime soon...and fantasizing about which man I would like to play the male lead in this play.

  • i've got to say -- from a heterosexual male perspective -- that McGregor looks like a lead singer from some 80's euro trash band in this photo.

and if what you mean by -- "doing quite a bit of research into the psychology (and biology) of human sexual attraction for the new play I am working on..." -- is conversing with your brother and asking him what he and his friends would do in certain situations, or just throwing out random comments and looking for responses consider this research lab closed for renovation until this play is ready for the stage -- i always forget to stay clear when shes drafting plays and then during a rehearsal as i'm following along i hear something that - wow this sounds like something i would say -- wait wait wait, i did say that - yeah i remember now i said that when- this bitch stole my line!

  • Some of us are wondering which bloggers you have crushes on, Jill.

  • Ladies: thanks for backing me up here! Don't worry Amanda, just look at the pretty pictures.

Romey: Tempting, but, I continue to have a man in my life and you continue to be younger than many of the students I teach every day.

Little Bro: Mock Ewan all you want. Have you not noticed all the actual reading and research I've been doing--book stores, libraries...? See how inspirational I find you? I quote you all the time!

    Thomas: You are soooo Thomas!
